My
Story

Licensed Naturopathic Doctor, Fellow of the American Board of Naturopathic Oncology, Neo Emotional Release Practitioner

I entered the medical field with a deep desire to help people return to a state of wellness and wholeness. To heal chronic disease and restore balance of body, mind, heart and spirit. To teach people how to honor their bodies, reconnect with their humanness, reclaim their power and ENJOY their lives.

This passion led me to Naturopathic medicine - a holistic approach to healthcare that combines the wisdom of nature with the rigors of modern science. With allies such as nutrition, movement, lifestyle modifications, botanical/fungi medicine and nutraceuticals I provide individualized, evidence-based care that balances the least harmful and most effective approaches, addresses the root causes of chronic disease and facilitates the body’s innate healing intelligence.

I fell in love with Naturopathic medicine as a teenager when I witnessed the profound impacts it had on my mother as she battled stage IV breast cancer. The comprehensive support she received from her ND boosted her physical and mental vitality to levels she had not even experienced prior to the diagnosis. My mother also brought me to my very own initial appointment with an ND who quickly cured the excruciating migraines I had suffered with for most of my life. A deep reverence for the healing power of nature, and of the body as an inextricable part of nature, was instilled within me.

I began my academic journey at Boston University, where I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and was honored with the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences Scholar Award. I then earned my Naturopathic Doctorate from the University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine, again graduating Summa Cum Laude and receiving the prestigious Award for Academic Excellence.

To honor my mother and give hope to the many others like her, I completed a 2-year oncology-focused residency and became certified as a Fellow of the American Board of Naturopathic Oncology (FABNO). Throughout my education, training and clinical practice, I have supported many patients with cancer through conventional treatment and survivorship with naturopathic interventions.

I have always been fascinated by the interconnectedness of the body-mind and by the body's innate ability to heal itself. Though I had much knowledge from my education, NER took my understanding of what truly is at the root of chronic dis-ease to another level. NER is a gentle somatic healing modality that allows suppressed emotions that are contributing to dis-ease in the body and mind to finally be expressed and transformed. It has been deeply healing for myself and my patients.

For myself, as someone who used to be highly logical and disconnected from my emotions I now feel more than ever - in the best way. NER has improved my digestion, the way I feel, and my ability to move my body. It has opened communication and deepened connection with my partner. And most importantly, it has immensely increased my capacity to accept myself exactly as I am and ENJOY my life. For my patients, NER has been powerful in and of itself, and when combined with Naturopathic medicine speeds and increases the efficacy of other treatments. I feel so fulfilled and grateful to bring this medicine to the world every day.
